B. Braun Medical Zambia Limited was incorporated on 20 November 2017 as a limited legal entity and the official launch took place on the 31 October 2018.
B. Braun is registered to distribute medical devices to the Zambian market and export within its mandate.
The company is run by the Managing Director Nimrod Chali Njamba. Nimrod obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at the Polytechnic of Namibia in 2012. He successfully completed a Students Experience Program from SAFRI in Germany. While in Germany, he worked as an Intern at
B. Braun Melsungen AG in the Export Department, for the region Middle East Africa. Nimrod attended Sales training of B. Braun Hospital Care products in Nairobi, Kenya in 2013 and from 2016 he began operating under B. Braun Medical South Africa, where he received further training in Basic Care, Surgical Technologies, Closure Technology and Auto Infusion Systems.
Currently B. Braun Medical Zambia Limited has participated in congresses and local training, in collaboration with the Society of Anaesthesia of Zambia.
They are currently selling products from Basic Care, Auto Infusion Systems, Closure Technology and Surgical Technologies, mainly in the Private sector. They also do business with the Public sector and Faith based institutions, as well as other distributors depending on the clients being serviced.
In the future, B. Braun Medical Zambia Limited intends to complete some of the Pharmaceutical registrations, as well as Haemodialysis concentrates in order to speed up their business in that range. They intend to prioritise training, to enhance their knowledge and expertise.
