On April 25^th, 2015 at 11:56 local time, Nepal was struck by an earthquake with a force of 7.8 on the Richter scale. The consequences were catastrophic: thousands of people were killed, millions left homeless and there were still aftershocks and landslides months later. On November 8^th, 2013, typhoon Hayan swept across the Philippines, killing more than 7,000 people. Four million people lost their homes and entire regions were completely devastated. After an earthquake on the Japanese island of Honshu on March 11^th, 2011 at 14:46, regions on the east coast were engulfed by a tsunami. This caused accidents at several nuclear power plants in eastern Japan - in particular at the Fukushima-Daiichi facility – leading to the death of almost 20,000 people and the evacuation of more than 400,000 others. These are only a few of the disasters where B. Braun has provided immediate, sustainable relief.

With unpaid volunteers and financial help we support medical-supplies, provide psychological-care, help rebuild schools and hospitals, and supply drinking water, food and hygiene kits. B. Braun supports both international aid organizations as well as, local institutions.
